Fin des voeux du procureur Courroye au parquet de Nanterre le 16 janvier 2012 :

« Quel plus bel acte de foi en l’avenir que cette adresse prophétique de Mirabeau, prononcée le 22 mai 1790 à la tribune de l’assemblée nationale : “ le temps, ce juge incorruptible qui fait justice à tous” ».

Et le journaliste de conclure :

On ne peut que souscrire à cet admirable apophtegme. Mirabeau est mort un an plus tard et sa dépouille a été déposée en grande pompe au Panthéon, jusqu’à ce que la Convention l’en déménage lorsqu’il a été découvert que parallèlement à ses discours enflammés, il négociait secrètement avec le roi pour devenir ministre. Mirabeau a été enterré anonymement au cimetière de Clamart puis ses cendres, dit-on, ont été jetées dans les égouts.
